4 agosto 05Programming Preview of Elche's Xth Medieval Festival
As usual, the Festival still combines indoor and outdoor shows as well as musical and dramatic performances. This year, we will be able to enjoy Czech medieval music, two of Morboria Theatre shows, Amancio Prada’s acting with the performance of the “Escolanía del Misteri”, shows about “el Quijote”, troubadours from various towns, a new version of “el Tirant Lo Blanc”, a Magic Show called “Druidas y Encantamientos”, two small medieval markets, a few film sessions and two workshops. The workshops will take place during the festival. One will be on interpretation and will be dedicated to poetry and how to handle medieval weapons and the second one will be on calligraphy.
The Festival will also present an exposition about “Las Fiestas de la Venida de la Virgen” (Celebration of the Coming of the Virgin) that is being set up for the 140th anniversary of the foundation in charge of the organisation.
There will also be a meeting of directors of medieval festivals in which will attend representatives of Italy, Germany, Poland, Turkey, Japan and Portugal.
